Are you a sucker (forgive the sweet trick-or-treating pun) for dressing up on Halloween? I am! Perhaps it’s because I studied theater in college and love costumes and makeup, or maybe it’s because a part of me refuses to grow up. I’m in good company here at Bronner’s! Many staff members enjoy the opportunity to wear creative costume attire to work whenever October 31 falls on a weekday.
Here are just a few of the many favorite costumes that our employees have worn throughout the years! Also, make sure to join us for Halloween at Bronner’s! We parade around the store in costume for our guests at 9:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
From the look of Little Red Riding Hood’s basket, I’d say she got the best of the wolf that year!
The four seasons!
The Black Widow Club!
Everybody’s sweetheart!
The tradition of staff dressing up for Halloween began with Wally Bronner, Bronner’s late originator. Wally loved to surprise staff by sneaking into the costume parade that takes place throughout Bronner’s salesroom. He’s pictured here with staff in 2001, dressed as a scarecrow.
Scooby Doo was a personalized ornament painter!
Some staff grew facial hair fast!
Halloween brings all sorts of characters to Bronner’s: Dr. Seuss and friends; “beauty” queens; medical and emergency personnel; Minions,;fairy-tale friends; royalty; Christmas characters; jailbirds; pop culture look-alikes from today and yesteryear; and a fair share of fall farmers, pumpkins, scarecrows and more.
“I hear the train a comin’; It’s rollin’ ’round the bend, and I ain’t seen the sunshine since I don’t know when.”
Straight from the North Pole! They know Santa!
Another great costume from Wally!
Please share your Halloween costume photos in the comments below – we’d love to see them!
