A Family Tradition
Dietrich is no stranger to the Christmas WONDERland his grandfather built. It’s basically been his childhood playground.

What’s more, it’s also been a place of learning since the most valuable lessons in life are experienced, not taught.

In 2008, just before his grandfather Wally’s passing, Dietrich shared the news that he would be returning to the family Christmas decorations business. He is the first, third-generation family member to return.
After studying finance at MSU, Dietrich stepped into the workforce. His experience includes a successful relaunch of Saginaw’s historic Temple Theatre after a $7 million restoration. As a volunteer, Dietrich also helped establish the Frankenmuth Farmers Market and Michigan Farmers Market Association. What’s more, he served as president and did marketing for both organizations. For this reason, you’ll most certainly see these influences coloring his top pick of Christmas ornaments!

Dietrich fills dual roles as both product development manager and Bronner’s Christmas Favorites® catalog coordinator. This allows him to work closely alongside both of his parents as they carry on the Bronner legacy.

Bronner’s Exclusives Designs
Originator Wally Bronner collaborated with European glass producers to create the first Bronner’s exclusive ornament design in 1964.
He loved to share the CHRISTmas story of our Savior’s birth. In fact, Wally’s first exclusive ornament design placed the Holy Family within a glass dome resting on a gold foil star.

The Collaboration Continues
Many of Bronner’s exclusive ornament designs are made by glass artisans in Hungary. For three generations, their family has worked with the Bronner family to create treasured keepsakes for you to enjoy.
Regarding the design process, Dietrich shares,
“I have a lot of ways to come up with new products, and it often usually begins with seeing what holes we have in the product line. What themes don’t we have? More importantly, which themes do we not see out in the marketplace at all? Let’s create those! Exploring what’s out there, traveling, looking at our current line … all lead to inspiration when trying to create something new.”
“It’s an honor to handle product development because I help create and also enable people to celebrate their momentous occasions and passions in their own way. Christmas is a celebration of Jesus’ birth, and we each can celebrate that in our own ways, including fun ones.”

Dietrich’s Top-Pick Christmas Ornaments
“I revel in showing people new ways to be happy. These designs do just that! On top of the requisite ornaments for milestones such as a Baby’s First Christmas, weddings, etc., these are like the frosting on the cake. They dial in more precisely to certain niches to delight people and their personal preferences. They’re playful and fun.”
