No offense to Adam Sandler or Chris Farley, but this flavor-full recipe is far superior to the prepackaged kind you’d find in the store or served up in the cafeteria of Lunch Lady Land!

SENSATIONAL SLOPPY JOES

Bronner's Flavorful Favorites Sloppy Joe's Recipe

Serves 5

Ingredients:

– 1/2 c. chopped onion
– 1 lb. ground beef
-1/2 c. condensed tomato soup
-1/2 c. ketchup
-3 tbl. grape jelly
– 1 tbl. brown sugar
– 1 tbl. each, cider vinegar and mustard
-1/2 tsp. salt
-1/2 tsp. celery seed
– 5 hamburger buns

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
2. Stir in soup, ketchup, jelly, brown sugar, cider vinegar, mustard, salt and celery seed. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce the heat; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes or until heated through.
4. Serve on buns.

    We have 3 farmers markets here in Grand Rapids Michigan. The grocery stores take a back seat to the markets. The sloppy joe’s are the best bar none.
