Puppy Chow Recipe

When I was a kid, puppy chow was one of my favorite desserts to make with my parents. Now, as an adult, it’s still one of my favorite things to make but mainly just for myself! Okay fine, I do share it with friends and family too . . . but only just a little! 😉

Who doesn’t love the delicious combination of chocolate and peanut butter?! If your anything like me, you better make a double batch of this puppy chow recipe . . . because it won’t last more than an hour!

Classic Puppy Chow

Forget dreaming of sugar plums! Puppy chow is a classic yet timeless treat we're sure you can't get enough of! A simple 4 ingredients: chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar dress up Chex cereal into the stuff of dreams.
Course Dessert, Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg Chocolate Chips 12 oz
  • cups Peanut Butter*
  • 1 box Chex Cereal small
  • cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Brown Grocery Bag

Instructions
 

  • Melt together chocolate chips and peanut butter.
  • Add Chex cereal to a large bowl. Carefully add chocolate and peanut butter mixture to the cereal bowl. Mix together.
  • Pour powdered sugar into a large brown bag, add cereal mixture and SHAKE!

Notes

*For those with nut sensitivities, consider using Sunbutter® in place of the peanut butter in equal measure.
