Bronner’s new Byers’ Choice caroler display brings to life the delightful, handcrafted characters created right here in the USA. Growing from a hobby at the Byers’ dining room table, the business today employs 40 artisans in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Designing the Caroler Display
Indeed, Bronner artist and decorator, Eileen Boone, welcomed the opportunity to redo the caroler display.
“I really am enjoying this project,” she said early on. “Since the product brings no limitations to the project, I have a lot of freedom in developing the new carolers display.”
As a result, Eileen decided to design the display featuring an interior home on one side and the out of doors on the other side. Hence, Byers’ Park was born, featuring both both summertime and winter. Given that, the park accommodates both the summer and winter (Christmas) lines of carolers.
The New Byers’ Choice Caroler Display Takes Shape®
To begin with, Eileen formed the foundation of a great collectible display with pieces of Styrofoam ® – lots of it! She uses a hot knife (also called a foam cutter) to cut and shape the foam.
Next Eileen built the outdoor side of the display. Undeniably, the lighted skating pond and icy waterfall bring a winter wonderland feeling to the caroler display. By comparison, the grassy park makes a perfect home for the spring caroler collection.
Eileen brought the feels of a family home to the interior side of the new Byers’ Choice caroler display. Accordingly, she trimmed the windows with draperies and finished the flooring to resemble beautiful wood floors. (Can you believe Eileen made them from Popsicle® sticks?)
What’s more, she painted and hung caroler family portraits on the walls! (One caroler portrait remarkably resembles Eileen. 😉) In similar creative fashion, Eileen turned an ornament into a chandelier.
Indeed, Eileen left no detail to chance, be it vegetation in the park or a string of lights on the roofline! In addition, stockings hang by the chimney with care while Fido’s dog house sits near the front-door steps.
