Watching loved ones play Christmas games while blindfolded can be really entertaining! Up the ante by making your own funny face game blindfold using our template, and let the laughter begin!
NO PEEKING!
These funny face game blindfolds were quickly improvised for Bronner’s Santa experiences on Facebook LIVE when Autumn the Elf challenged Santa to a favorite game of the elves in the North Pole – “Snowball Snatch.” (AKA, the cotton ball challenge.)

Santa competes against Autumn The Elf in a North Pole Game Favorite – Snowball Snatch
Our game blindfolds were made very simply, using just a few supplies from on hand. (Similar to our DIY Mini Felt Stocking!) And the result?! A hilarious, funny face game blindfold you won’t be able to take your eyes off of!
But if you don’t happen to have craft supplies on hand, you can easily find them at any number of stores. Those supplies are:
- Colored Felt
- String
- Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue
- Decorations
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN FUNNY FACE GAME BLINDFOLD
To begin, you’ll want to print our DIY funny face game blindfold template. It includes two sizes: one scaled for adults and one for the kiddos.
DIY Funny Face Game Blindfold / Super Hero Costume Mask
Equipment
- scissors
- Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue
- Bronner's Face Mask Template linked in NOTES
- Needle & Thread optional
Materials
- Felt
- Elastic String
- Decorations pom-poms, googly-eyes, fabric paint, etc.
Instructions
Prep
- PRINT Bronner's Facemask Template, linked in post below. Preferably on cardstock for more durability.Template includes both adult and children's size.
- CUT the mask out from template.
- TRACE the mask onto two pieces of felt. A second piece of felt as a lining will help to mask visibility — especially if your felt is thinner. We don't want any peeking! If using our template to create a super-hero mask variation, be sure to also hollow out the eyes.
- TRIM an elastic band large enough to fit around a head. Or alternatively, cut two strips of fabric or ribbon for tying.
- PREPARE any decorative pieces. I.E. additional felt shapes for appliqué, pom-poms, googly eyes, etc.
Assembly
- ADHERE the two pieces of cut felt together, using Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue.
- STITCH the tie or ribbon on either side of the mask. While sewing will likely hold up better to wear, if you are looking for a no-sew alternative, you may glue in between the two felt pieces. If gluing, I recommend using a singular string or ribbon that is long enough to run all the way through.
- DECORATE mask.
DECORATIVE TIPS & TRICKS
No-Sew Tip
To make without sewing, per Assembly Step 2, use one long string and glue the knotted end in between the “eyes”, between the two layers of felt.

Funny Face Mask HAIR Hack
For a FUNny “twist”, add some crazy hair to your mask with a bit of yarn and wire or chenille stem!
To do so, simply:
- WRAP the yarn around your fingers, placing wire through the center and,
- TWIST to secure.
- REPEAT along the length of the wire and then fold and,
- CRIMP and BEND in different directions to make hair look more wild and naturally tousled.
- GLUE or STITCH wire ends between layers of felt. Additionally, you may curl ends with pliers to soften sharpness. Or glue an extra swatch of felt over ends before gluing to mask. (Pictured below.)

FACE MASK FIT FOR A SUPER HERO!
Alternatively, this funny-face blindfold mask template can be modified to make a mask fit for a super hero when you hollow out the eyes. And that’s just what these cute kiddos are doing to celebrate their Dad for Father’s Day.

Felt flowers make a fun addition to the mask. Create your own using Bronner’s felt flower video tutorials.
