This Father’s Day post is not about the gift so much as it is about how you WRAP it! Doubling as a fun and purposeful activity, this custom wrapping paper for Father’s Day is, in actuality, perfect for all ages and artistic abilities … and, consequently, any occasion, too!

Dads wrap their families with a distinct kind of love – so why not wrap their Father’s Day gift in something extra special?! Our custom wrapping paper idea comes in the form of one-of-a-kind artwork by the ones Dad loves most!

Custom Wrapping Paper
At the start, I envisioned the outcome being a bit more of a uniform, patterned fingerprint design. But it was clear that these kiddos had their own ideas of what makes a masterpiece worthy of wrapping Dad’s Father’s Day gift when they asked for paintbrushes to use as well.
I was quickly reminded of a bit of wisdom once imparted to me —
[Regarding] “… the lack of the inhibitions of a child when they are exploring art; how they are free to paint a face purple and a hand green until someone tells them they can’t do that. Why as adults do we lose that freedom? Become scared? Feel like there is a ‘measure’ we must meet before what we have is acceptable or our offering is enough? [E-hem, perfectly patterned paper…] The world’s standard of measuring is always changing, but our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His ways and thoughts are higher (Isaiah 55:9). He created us [uniquely] and He calls us very good! (Genesis 1:31)”

And so, too, were the masterpieces this tiny tribe created to use as custom wrapping paper for their Father’s hand made gifts!

Sunshine hearts and volcano fish … it doesn’t get any better than that!
Dads Are Real Superheroes!
Okay, even though we said this post isn’t so much about the gift, we certainly can’t give Dad a beautifully wrapped box of “nothing,” right?! 😂
So what makes a meaningful Father’s Day gift fit for a Super Dad?! A Superhero tee, of course!
My Dad Is A Superhero Because…
P (10 years old) – “He lets me use his tools to build things and he helps me figure things out.” Undoubtedly, a father’s love and support instills invaluable confidence as little ones grow up to make their mark on the world!
F (6 years old) – “He fixed my jeep.” Though it may just be Power Wheels® right now, there will be a day in the future that this sweet little one will know she has a dad in it for the long haul!
N (4 years old)- “He wears a cape,” though her mom tells me he doesn’t … yet!
We’re about to fix that!
What does every Superhero’s costume have? An emblem of course! All three kiddos worked together, collectively, to make a giant “S” from their handprints for their Super Dad.

To finish off — official autographs from these three adorable sidekicks! Holy cuteness, Super Dad!

THAT’S A (BEAUTIFUL) WRAP!
As a parent, you know it may not be realistic to keep every little thing your kiddos draw … You may relate to this hilarious sketch by Taylor and Heidi Calmus of Dude Dad in a PERFECT illustration of perhaps an all too familiar scenario😜!

For this reason, this fun wrapping paper activity won’t leave you feeling guilty during cleanup … it’s what is expected of wrapping paper after all! And we’re certain they’ll be especially excited to make something new with each occasion for the ones they love!
