Bronner’s America 250 float celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary with a festive display of patriotic pride and timeless holiday spirit. Featuring vibrant red, white, and blue decorations, the float reflects Bronner’s tradition of craftsmanship and celebration.

By and large, Bronner’s creates its annual float to appear in Frankenmuth’s Bavarian Festival Grand Parade. (It also appears in the festival’s children’s parade that takes place one day prior to the grand parade.) Afterward, Bronner’s displays the float on the south platz outside Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland until late November/early December. By that time, winter weather is taking a toll on the float so staff move it into the workshop where it’s dismantled. Visions of sugarplums – no – visions of next year’s float 😉 – begin dancing in designers’ heads.
Bronner’s Float Celebrates America 250 Per the Grand Parade Theme
All things considered, Bronner’s designs the float each year to coordinate with the festival’s grand parade theme. Equally important is the opportunity to showcase striking decor sold by Bronner’s commercial department. Since 1945, Bronner’s Commercial Display has helped cities, malls, zoos, parks and businesses transform spaces with durable, energy-efficient, and eye-catching decor. From LED lighting to custom displays, Bronner’s commercial display creates unforgettable seasonal experiences that shine year after year.

To begin, Bronner’s float team created a striking base to pull the theme together using garland, floral sheeting and skirting. Then, 3-D shimmering stars in two sizes were trimmed with red and blue garland, forming focal points on the float. Next, two 6 ft. candy canes were combined to form a heart celebrating the “land that I love.”

In addition, the float team incorporated an elevated, decorative fence that wrapped like ribbon around the back of the float, The wrap enveloped the Statue of Liberty and a garland tree designed and built by Bronner’s. Finally, the back of the tree featured the artwork from Bronner’s God Bless America Land That I Love ornament. The float also flew an American flag and was trimmed with 48-inch red, white and blue artificial Christmas trees.

To the delight of the Bronner family and staff, the float received the Frankenmuth Award in the commercial parade entries category. Be sure to stop by soon and see the float!
