Sometimes salads can be boring. Well, my friends, this salad is far from that. It doesn’t even include the staple ingredient that most salads do – lettuce! We are sharing with you a creamy, sweet and delicious salad perfect for a summer potluck or your next barbecue.
Let’s first talk about how adorable that cutting board is! We loved using this wooden Michigan board for a lot of our foodie shots that we took. Keep an eye out for it in our up-and-coming recipe posts!
The best part about this salad is it’s easy to make. It’s one of those recipes that you can whip up in less than 30 minutes – always a bonus! This recipe was found in Bronner’s Flavorful Favorites Book 1, which you can purchase online and in-store.
Below we have provided the recipe, as well as an instructional video on how to make this tasty salad.
Broccoli Cauliflower Salad
– 2 large bunches of broccoli, chopped flowerets only
– 1 head of cauliflower, chopped flowerets only
– 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 lb. bacon, cooked and cut into pieces (could also use real bacon bits)
– 1 cup Hellmann’s mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
– 1/2 cup sugar or 10 Equal packets
– 2 tbsp. vinegar
1. Mix broccoli, cauliflower, cheese and bacon together in a bowl. Set aside.
2. Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar in separate bowl (This will be the dressing.)
3. Just before serving, mix the salad and dressing together.
Eat up and enjoy!

We do use Miracle whip and I love it, we also put about a fourth cup of sunflower seeds and it is awesome! If your not doing the low carb, regular sugar and a half cup of raisins in it. We been doing this for years at our Thanksgiving.
Saved as a favorite, I like your site!
This sounds delish! Just wondering if it is white vinegar or apple cider vinegar that is used in preparing this dish? Thank you, in advance, for your response.
Hi Patti! We used apple cider vinegar, but you could easily use whatever you have on hand/prefer! Please let us know how you like it, and if you snap a picture be sure to share and tag us- @bronnerschristmas on Instagram and Facebook or @bronnersxmas on Twitter! Happy cooking!
Salad is good thank you.
FYI…You forgot to include the ” upper peninsula ” of Michigan in your cutting board…this happens a lot. People don’t realize there’s Michigan also on the other side of the bridge.
Tammie, Thanks for taking time to comment. We’re glad to hear you like the salad! Erin, a member of our blog team, happened to already have the Michigan-mitten cutting board so we used it in many of the shots. We love the U.P. and yoopers, too! Unfortunately, it looks like the U.P.-shaped cutting boards aren’t as readily available. 🙁
Any recipe that includes the phrase “not Miracle Whip” is bound to be good 😉
Please provide a PRINT button. It looks like a great and glorious summer dish. I love Bronner’s, and this is great but disappointing not to have a easy PRINT option. Thank you!
So happy that you like the recipe! There is a print button up at the top of the post, above the picture. It is a small grey icon, first one, next to all the social media icons. If you hover over it, it’s says print. There is also a print icon on the right hand side, it’s a toolbar that stays in the same place as you scroll, first icon, grey shows a printer. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.
Thanks so much. I’ll have to check my computer. I am addicted to my iPad and do not see that print icon…they begin itch Facebook, etc. Thanks again!
The print icon is there but it printed everything – not just the recipe.
Happy you were able to print the article! Yes, currently right now in our settings we are only able to print the whole article and not just the recipe, hopefully in the future we will be able to change that 🙂
