Bronner’s Archery Contest Results Benefit Charities

To begin with, archers shot three rubber-tipped arrows from a youth bow at a heart-shaped target. Next, they received 25, 50, 75, 100, or 125 points for each shot based on where the arrow struck the target. Then those points were totaled with supporter bonus points. (In the first round, archers received 5 points for each supporter in attendance who registered for them before the contest began.) At last, the top three contestants – Tom Lounsbury, Daniel Balzer and Kyle Makin advanced to the final round.

Once again, the archers shot three arrows in the final round. As a result, Daniel Balzer finished in first place with 375 points (three bullseyes), winning the $2,000 grand prize for Midland’s Open Door. In second place, Kyle Makin received $750 for Midland’s Open Door. And Tom Lounsbury, who finished in third place, earned $750 for Great Start Tuscola’s Imagination Library. In addition, entrants who didn’t advance to the final round each received $500 for their charity.
